Dayton Butterfly Festival

Dayton, Ohio  is blessed by having a very active public park system that is known by the Five Rivers MetroParks.e_butterfly_painted_lady_.jpg
Beautiful parks are located all over the Dayton area, but my favorite is the Cox Arboretum, located on state highway 714 one mile north of the Dayton Mall.e_red_admiral.jpg

And today, June 28th, 2008 was the opening of their Butterfly House.

I always try to go and encourage you to visit, too.

Enjoying the fragrant ambiance of the flowers along the path to the Butterfly House will repay your effort.  And the best part is that the price of admission is free or your free will offering.e_tiger_swallowtail.jpg

But all summer the natural emergence of the butterflies and moths from their pods are the fascinating main draw

On the weekend of July 12th
