Quick Recovery from Numbness

San Diego-based Novalar Pharmaceuticals has supported research that will be announced at the International Association of Dental Research (IADR) that a local anesthetic reversal agent is up for approval by the FDA and will be available the 2nd quarter of 2008.

There is no other Local-Anesthetic-Reverse-Agent available to dentists for quickly restoring “feeling” in numb lips and tongues.

“NV-101” was developed to rapidly reverse the lingering and debilitating lip and tongue numbness associated with local dental anesthesia.
Children are especially at risk from biting and chewing their cheeks,
tongues and lips when numb.  This product could be safe and provide benefits for the pediatric patient population.

Phentolamine Mesylate
(a vasodilator), the active ingredient has already been approved and in use in medical practice for over 50 years.
